Robyn (Woods) Scott took a few days of vacation to come visit me. We camped with Parker at Dash Point State Park. After we got set up on our first day, it started raining. We braved it for the evening but just as we were getting settled into our sleeping bags, Robyn noticed the tent had started leaking......so we packed up a sleeping Parker and went back to our house for the night. The next afternoon was drier, so we moved back to our campsite to resume the festivities.

we found several of these large clams lying on the beach; we put back our finds, but the gulls were dropping them to smash on the packed sand.
I introduced Robyn to the joys of beachcombing with wellies.
There were many salmon fisherman out in the foggy morning, and this one showed us his beautiful catch.
a geoduck syphon; Robyn and Parker had hours of entertainment poking these whenever they found them, causing them to retreat into the sand and send water fountains as high as 5 feet into the air.
