A day off

This is Mt. Baker showing over the Sound. There aren't any planes in this shot, but you can sit at the pier and watch the tiny planes take off from SeaTac. I watched JT fly off to Denver today.

I needed a day off to just recharge. And today we're having near record temperatures with gorgeous sun, so I decided to just go play. I drove all around our coastline, stopping everywhere there was access to the Sound. After all the rain over the weekend, there was a lot of floating woody debris, and the sound was pretty muddy looking. Out farther, there was a line where the incoming tide was pushing blue water against the brown. This photo shows how high the tide was; out on the pier it felt like I was standing right on the water.

I don't have any photos to show, but on my way home a bald eagle landed on the road in front of me, before flying off into the trees. All in all, a spectacular day off :-)
