Halloween Pumpkins

There's a nearby community garden being developed by a church.  They plan to grow lots of good stuff, then donate the goods to those in need.  We heard they were holding a "pumpkin patch" to raise money for the garden, so we headed there today for pumpkins.

 They had gorgeous pumpkins!

Parker chose a tall one this year.

I drilled holes in my pumpkins.  It made such funny little curly-noodles of pumpkin.

Em even came out to supervise.

When we looked closely at my pumpkin curls, we found that the drill bit had created these amazing, tiny rosettes.

 So these are mine

and here is Parker with his.  He's quite pleased and named it George.
