After days of snow, we got about 1/2 inch of ice.
With the car looking like this, you can imagine the state of the roads. JT worked from home two days, and we went absolutely nowhere.
Every main road had trees down, so it was just as well we didn't try to get out. The tree in the next yard eventually touched the ground.
We spent 24 hours stuck at 28 degrees, and then it warmed fast. By morning it was in the 40s, and everything melted. Now we are back to ordinary January rain. The roads are lined with sawdust from the crews cutting up fallen trees, but we're in the hills so at least we have no problem with flooding.
